Day 81 of #100daysofnetworks
World AI: Successful Tech Demonstration
Yesterday, GrooveSeeker took me to a Punk Rock show!
Over the last few days, I have been probing what the Verdant Eye and GrooveSeeker APIs can do.
On day 75, I showed that the Verdant Eye AI interface is world aware and that it returns FRESH real-world context.
On day 76, I showed that anyone who uses the API can get FRESH real-world context with very few lines of code. This can save millions of dollars and a lot of time. I deal with the entire backend so you don’t have to.
On day 77, I showed that the GrooveSeeker API is equally easy to use and is very useful for finding things to enjoy. I built this to enjoy life, not to be cool. I have been building with AI for a long time, pre-LLM.
On day 78, I did a five minute OSINT investigation of my local area to show how easy the API is to use for investigations and research.
On day 79, I did a ONE minute OSINT investigation of what has happened in the world in the last six hours to show how easy the API is to use for investigations and research, and to show the recency of real-world insights.
And on day 80, I got bored of proving and proving and proving and proving and proving and proving and proving and decided to just use it and go to a Punk Rock Show.
AI is BORING
It’s not really, I just wanted to throw in a sensationalist headline for once. I love this stuff. I have been doing it FOREVER. In fact, two people got married a long time ago because of a dating website that I built from scratch in 2003 out of boredom, and then they had a baby. There is an adult alive on this planet because I got bored and did AI engineering in 2003. It just had a humbler name, back then.
There is a scene in Rick and Morty that is closer to how I feel about AI.
I build stuff to serve me and others. I don’t build stuff to be cool or to add to my portfolio. I did that stuff a long time ago.
I build AI to pass butter. I build AI to take me to concerts. I build AI to keep me safe. I build AI to serve me and others.
So I Went to a Punk Rock Show
I have built a world AI. The LLM doesn’t matter. I can swap in any LLM, and it’ll still work. The LLM doesn’t matter. I am not model-centric. There is no beginning or end to the intelligence in how I build, and it is reliable. It ends up manifesting as World AI that gives very fast answers and very recent context about things happening in the world.
We know how to test language models. That’s easy. Ask it a question. Is the answer what you are looking for? I had to test my interfaces’ language model capabilities, but I also have to test real-world relevancy.
I decided that the way to test a world model was to use it for something in the real world.
Substack doesn’t give me a lot of space. Please read this to catch yourself up.
First, I bought a ticket, jumped on the local train, and went to the venue. This was my first time doing this, so I didn’t know what the process of buying tickets was like these days. It was so easy. My ticket was emailed to me.
Each band had their own section for t-shirts and swag. I brought some home!
Sorry, I didn’t get a very good picture of the first band. I enjoyed them too much, so I wasn’t thinking about my phone. Their name is Altar Girl, and they are from Portland. I got to talk with them for a bit, and they picked out the ultimate birthday present for my daughter! I am now a big fan!
Here is one of their videos. Cool song.
After that, the band 1876 performed. I think out of all of the bands, I liked their sound the best. It’s just my vibe. They are another Portland band.
I got this picture. They were so cool. I want to go see them again.
You can see them perform live in this video.
Next was Left Alone. They were a cool ska/punk band from California. I played in a ska/punk band when I was 15 years old, so it made me really happy. I sat outside at the firepit next to the frontman later in the evening, and he was a cool chill guy.
Here is one of their songs and I really love it. I have probably listened to it five times today. Really, push the play button. It is very good.
Last up was Koffin Kats, the main act. They were incredible. They have been performing together for 16 years, so they were so tight as a musical act. They are from Detroit, Michigan. Their showmanship was next level. Their frontman played a standup bass, and he flipped it up in the air, held it over the crowd, all kinds of stuff. And the guitarist is a right handed guitarist playing a left-handed guitar reversed, and so sparkly. Hahaha…. Still laughing about that. Chaos of the best kind.
Successful World AI Tech Demo
This has been a successful World AI tech demo. My AI interfaces found something for me to enjoy, I went, and I enjoyed myself.
I can use this for things other than music, too, as I showed on the other days. I can use this for whatever I want. I have World AI. You can do a lot of cool stuff with that.
But I’m not going to talk about that right now.
I had a great time! Successful tech demonstration!
Thank you for reading. That’s all for today! Please subscribe. If you become a paying subscriber by 3/20/2026, you can get API access for $8/month instead of $100/month.
Now, I’m going to work on making friends with some bands. :)
