On day 86, we began looking into spikes of chatter related to ICE activity. If you want to understand what is happening in the USA, day 86 and today’s article will be helpful. We investigated spikes in activity. You have to see and notice before you can detect.

And in today’s article, I am going to explain how to detect anomalies using Isolation Forest, a Machine Learning technique related to Random Forest. If you work in AI and don’t know about anomaly detection, Random Forest, or Isolation Forest, you are missing important fundamentals and need to catch up and should follow along.

But in today’s article, I am also going to show that KISS and YAGNI save the day and that Machine Learning was a distraction from reaching the actual goal. Here we go.
