Day 84 of #100daysofnetworks
GrooveSeeker: Welcome to my spaceship!
Hi everyone. It’s been about ten days since I’ve written an article. I have been very busy bringing GrooveSeeker to life! I even went to another show last week and bought a t-shirt from the bassist of a band I watched. A lot of exciting things are happening, and it has been difficult to write during all of the excitement.
Welcome to My Spaceship
There is a scene in the latest Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie that has inspired how I am talking about GrooveSeeker. Check it out. :)
GrooveSeeker is my spaceship. It is cool futuristic tech that most people don’t and will not understand, so I am now just calling it as Alien Technology, because that is a fun thing to do with Event Intelligence. It is not Alien Technology, but that is easier to say than to explain Living Systems and GraphRAG.
I Have One Goal Today
I have only one goal today, and I hope that my readers will do it. However, I do understand that not everyone likes Discord, so I get that. I will be pushing the same data to Matrix, Bluesky, and other things soon. But I had a goal to bring this online by last Friday, so I did. I will push GrooveSeeker and Verdant Intelligence data to wherever it is useful and will be used.
As of now, the forum has been growing by about one new user every hour, so it will not take long to become popular, and then as soon as word-of-mouth spreads, this will hit exponential growth. How do I know that? Because this is GSV3, not GSV2 or GSV1.
I have only one goal today. I am hoping that you all will join the GrooveSeeker Discord Server, or get excited about the information being pushed to whatever platforms you prefer. Have something in mind? Hit me up. I don’t know everything.
I really want you to click this link and then join the server!
I have worked very, very hard to build this over the last six months, and I built it in front of you all. If you want to support me, this is the biggest show of support you can do.
Why You Should Join
You should join this because I have made it very easy for you to find things to enjoy, and because it is free to use. Free and easy.
I have set up a whole bunch of fun things to enjoy.
There are chat pages to socialize. There is also a forum for longer text. Want to talk music and art? Now you can.
I also set up an open-mic-show, because it isn’t always easy to go to open-mic-events, physically. I will set up weekly or monthly open-mic events on this platform soon.
I also set up a place for musicians to hang out, away from the regular chat. Maybe once there are a lot of users, I will give confirmed musicians a user type so that the channel won’t be flooded with fans.
But let’s talk about the cool event information. Notice that there are genres? There are also locations, further down. So, if you want to go to an indies concert, look in indies. If you want to go to a jazz concert, look in jazz. If you just want to see what is happening in Oregon, look in Oregon (further below). I will open up as many locations as people want, and it is easy for me to do.
If I click into Punk, here is one event.
Do you see that play button? This is significant. I have turned EVENTS into GrooveSeeker Radio. Users of GrooveSeeker are tapped into the heartbeat of music events. This is significant.
If I see something significant, I can share it with the main chat. Anyone can. You can. This is a community. This is not my microphone. I am GrooveSeeker, and we are ALL GrooveSeeker. We all (I think) want to enjoy our lives. That is the point of GrooveSeeker.
So, join GrooveSeeker, and you can listen to the artists behind events, not just go to them!
Look at all of those Spotify links. Do you know all of those bands? I don’t, and I have found several new groups that I love by simply using GrooveSeeker and pushing the play button.
I have also made it very easy for you to see how popular the artists are. If someone has 2,436,983 followers, they are clearly more popular than someone with 158,128 followers. You can literally see who is the most and least popular act of that event just from what I have shown you.
GrooveSeeker Labs: Event Intelligence
I have also set up a page called GrooveSeeker Labs, which I use for doing Music OSINT, like I have done on this blog. Last night, I spent an hour mapping out open-mic nights around the Portland, Oregon area.
I share the information on the Discord server (and will share on other platforms eventually, too). I can do this for any location in the USA, and eventually the whole world. We are already beginning conversations for partnerships in Europe. Meanwhile, the USA treats me like I’m an alien.
This is event intelligence. You can use it for all kinds of things.
You can use it to find fun events to go to, and then go to them.
You can use it to find new bands and artists to listen to. I have found several new favorites this week, and am even going to cover one of their songs at a local open-mic night, soon.
You can use it to determine the behavior of any ecosystem. Is the Oregon ecosystem (network) shrinking or growing? You are reading a Network Science blog right now. This is applied Network Science that I am talking about. Is Punk Rock growing or shrinking? Did Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl have any impact on the popularity of his genre? You can do COOL data science with this tech.
You can do as much as your imagination and skill allows. I can do a lot.
API access is open, and not for free. I’m not talking about that anymore.
The GrooveSeeker Discord Server is free for everyone to use, and I am not interested in making money from regular people. I will make money from venues, organizers, bands, and businesses. I want YOU to have fun.
I really want you to click this link and then join the server!
GrooveSeeker Giveaways
At this moment, there are 48 members on the server. When it gets to 100, we are doing a swag giveaway. Swag means t-shirts, stickers, posters, magnets, that kind of thing. We have not decided on what we will give away first, but we have decided on the design.
This is our cool Alien Technology design. I am going to put this on stickers, magnets, t-shirts, hoodies, and a poster, to start. We’ll give away one of those things. Once we hit 100, we will announce it on the server. I am not doing the giveaway here.
Come join us and possibly get some cool swag!
I Love This So Much
I am a very happy person. I have built my dream, and I made it to the end of what I set out to do back in October or so. GrooveSeeker is now helping people find things to enjoy.
Do you know what my favorite use of it is? Is it finding events to go to? Well, I do like that, but no. Is it that I now have opportunities to meet musicians and even make a band? Nope, not even that.
It is the fact that I can use this as GrooveSeeker Radio. Every hour, new events are pushed to this server, and Spotify links are attached. I can use this as a discovery tool, and I can find cool musicians this way.
So, it’s fitting that I end this article by linking to several bands and songs that I found on my platform, and maybe you’ll enjoy them, and maybe, just MAYBE, you will come to my server and have a good time with me. That is the ultimate show of support that you can do, right now.

GrooveSeeker Discovered Music
One of our first members posted this awesome music. Any coder should check this out.
Here’s a cool song from a band I saw last week that GrooveSeeker showed me. I bought a t-shirt from the bassist and wear it proudly. I am a new fan of them.
This is another band I found via GrooveSeeker that I now love. Listen to that cool fusion of alt-country and punk/grunge. This is exactly my kind of sound.
This is another cool song, especially since I like Phish. :) I can’t get enough of this group.
GrooveSeeker even showed me some incredible jazz. Check this out. Seriously, listen. This song has been played 99,297,730 times! Incredible jazz! I had never heard this before GrooveSeeker.
I found this Ellen Winter song last night right after fixing the Spotify integration. Cool song.
ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE TOURING. I am not finding these people because they are popular. I am finding these people because they are TOURING.
There is a lot more on the server. New events and music arrive every hour. This is automated, and a community is growing around it. I would love it if you would join us. Most people enjoy music, art, and fun things.
I hope to see you there!
Come join the GrooveSeeker community!
WE ARE ALL GROOVESEEKER.

Nice @david Knickerbocker. I have an artist/band and song in mind to add. Thanks for building!
@Paul Cobaugh check this out. World AI meets Music OSINT meets COMMUNITY. People are now tapped into the heartbeat of the WORLD’s MUSIC ECOSYSTEM.
I took what I learned from scary and depressing OSINT and made a thing for us all to enjoy. It is beautiful, to me.
